Blackline Systems Inc in New York City is seeking a Manager of Customer Success to define and manage a Customer Success strategy for onboarded customer segments. You will supervise a team of Customer Success Managers and design innovative solutions to optimize customer adoption of BlackLine products.
The ideal candidate has over 5 years of customer-facing experience, particularly in accounting or financial software solutions, and possesses a strong strategic focus. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits.
The Manager, Customer Success directly defines, manages and delivers on a Customer Success program strategy specifically associated with a BlackLine onboarded customer segment(s). This program strategy should encompass the activities, resources, and relationships necessary to optimize customers' adoption of subscribed licenses and products, prevent attrition and churn, and continually enhance customer health and satisfaction. The role includes hiring, supervising, managing and training any program allocated Customer Success Managers in becoming experts in the Company's platform and products and in using their domain expertise to provide best practice deliverables.
The Manager of Customer Success proposes recommendations and designs innovative solutions to help optimize customers' adoption and expansion of BlackLine automation capabilities, prevent attrition and churn, and continually enrich the customer experience. The Manager of Customer Success leverages their BlackLine expertise, accounting, internal controls, and process improvement expertise, as well as their professional judgment to provide leading practices, insights, and deliverables. These deliverables may include thought leadership, executive touch points and strategy sessions, and recommendations to accelerate customers' accounting innovation journey.
The Manager, Customer Success will employ effective and repeatable world-class processes and prescriptive touchpoints, including campaigns, coaching, demonstrations, success plans and reviews to nurture extraordinary customer engagement and excitement throughout their BlackLine journey.

Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location.
In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
We are committed to pay transparency and ensuring candidates have clear information about compensation expectations. For roles that include variable incentive components such as an Incentive Compensation Plan (ICP) or On-Target Earnings (OTE), the compensation structure may follow a split model - for example, a 50/50, 70/30, or 60/40 ratio between base salary and variable incentive.
