Job description

Job Description
Job Summary

As a Senior Business Analyst for Contractor Logistics Support (CLS), you are not merely a data reporter; you are a strategic architect of program efficiency and an integral part of PBH contracts for AHI. You will provide high-level financial oversight for the LUH (Lakota) Program, serving as the primary engine for process improvement and critical analytical insights. Your mission is to safeguard the financial health by transforming raw operational data into actionable business intelligence and identifying systemic opportunities for cost avoidance and revenue protection. This role merges advanced financial modeling with technical reliability engineering. This role ensures the fleet’s technical performance is accurately reflected in the financial baseline and leads the "technical-contractual filtering" process to protect program margins.

Your Working Environment

A suburb just outside the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area is home to Airbus Helicopters U.S. regional headquarters, where we have more than 1,000 employees. Check out one of the seven professional sports teams that also call Dallas home - you may even see a special, custom Airbus helicopter dedicated to the Dallas Cowboys flying during home games.

How we care for you
  • Financial Rewards: Competitive base salary, incentive compensation which may include profit sharing schemes, retirement savings plan and the ability to participate in an Employee Stock Ownership Plan ("ESOP")
  • Work/Life Balance: Paid time off including personal time, holidays and a generous paid parental leave program.
  • Health & Welfare: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical (traditional and high-deductible health plans), prescription, dental, vision, life, disability, Employee Assistance Plan ("EAP") and other supplemental benefit coverages.
  • Individual Development: Upskilling and development opportunities through our global Leadership University, including unlimited access to 10,000+ e-learning courses focusing on ways to develop your employability, certifications, career path as well as the opportunity to participate in accelerated development programmes and both national and international mobility.
Your Challenges

Strategic Analytic Engineering & Contract Governance: 40%

  • Process Architecture: Evaluate current data collection methods for the CLS Program and design procedural enhancements to increase data velocity and accuracy.
  • Root Cause Variance Analysis: Conduct deep-dive forensics on actual vs. planned financial performance. Instead of just identifying gaps, you will diagnose the "why" behind variances and partner with accounting to prevent future deviations.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze project performance against internal targets, proactively recommending corrective actions to keep the program on its strategic trajectory.
  • Drive the Monthly Action Plan (MAP) with Finance and Contract Management to ensure strict adherence to the Estimate at Completion (EAC) scenario.
  • Cost Centralization: Implement and manage the Coyote, Skywise and Alteryx tools across the CLS contract to ensure data consistency at the part level.
  • Strategy Development: Build the business case for future CLS renewals, focusing on parts coverage, performance commitments, and Time & Materials (T&M) potential.

Predictive Planning & Forecasting: 40%

  • Anticipatory Budgeting: Drive the preparation of the annual operative plan using sophisticated forecasting models (EAC, ETC).
  • Technical-Contractual Filtering: Assist Tech Reps/CFMs on whether maintenance events are covered under contract or should be invoiced as exclusions.
  • Maintenance Manual Optimization: Collaborate with Tech Reps/Engineering to update Maintenance Manuals to eliminate room for interpretation and reduce unnecessary costs.
  • Warranty Governance: Manage a dedicated Warranty Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to track and recover reliability-driven costs.
  • Strategic Input: Provide high-level insight for periodic forecast updates, ensuring that the LUH activity is positioned for long-term fiscal stability including predictive modeling for event-based maintenance events. Help track and monitor a line of balance for repairables and consumables along with support from the technical team.
  • Metric Framework Development: Establish and govern a suite of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) focused on Forecast Accuracy (FA), Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removals (MTBUR, MTBR (covered events), MTBF, SLLs, TBOs, LLPs), and Stock-Out Frequency.

Operations & Visualization: 20%

  • Systemic Refinement: Lead the ongoing automation of internal financial reporting. Your goal is to reduce manual intervention, eliminate human error, and ensure 100% data integrity.
  • Internal Control Governance: Critically assess reporting policies to ensure they not only meet compliance standards but also provide the most transparent view of program health.
  • Ad-Hoc Strategic Support: Execute complex, high-stakes simulations and analyses to support senior leadership in executive decision-making.
  • Financial Safeguarding: Act as a critical liaison between Finance and the Customer to manage maximum funded events, ensuring that contractual thresholds are monitored with predictive accuracy rather than reactive reporting.
Your Boarding Pass
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
