About the Role:

Are you a self-starter who takes pride in keeping buildings operating at their best? CBRE is seeking a well-rounded BuildingSenior Engineer to support a portfolio of four client sites throughoutManhattan. This role is ideal for an experienced facilities professional whoenjoys working independently, solving problems, and applying a broad range ofmaintenance skills across building systems.

In this highly visible position, you'll be responsible forpreventive maintenance, repairs, and daily operations involving electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, patching, and other critical building systems.Candidates must be comfortable traveling between sites, and an OMNY cardwill be provided for convenient transportation. The schedule is Mondaythrough Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM .

What You’ll Do:

• Assign work orders and estimate the time and materialsneeded to complete repairs. Maintain an inventory of adequate supplies andtools.
• Perform maintenance and repairs to buildings, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and lighting systems. Keep facilityand building systems up to applicable standards as assigned.
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives related to building operations andwork safety.
• Develop an energy management program. Ensure all systemsoperate in the most efficient manner.
• Oversee and inspect the work performed by outsidecontractors. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients,co-workers, and/or supervisors.
• Direct the implementation of a preventive maintenanceprogram to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed theirrated life. Perform repairs and emergency maintenance as needed.
• Review and sign off on inspections of building systemsincluding fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure the operation of equipmentis within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribedby the client.
• Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, bettermethods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
• Showcase expertise in own job discipline and in-depthknowledge of other job disciplines within the organization function.
• Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertisein most or all areas within the function.
• Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistentwith CBRE RISE values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others,often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point ofview.

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
• Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
• Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.

The minimum salary for the position is $58.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the position is $62.00 per hour.
