Job summary

The Premier Group is seeking a Sr. BIM Designer to support multiple offices on large-scale electrical construction projects across the United States.

You will lead the development of 2D/3D BIM models, generate construction documents, and coordinate with teams to ensure constructability and clash-free drawings. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of BIM/design experience in construction or consulting, strong tool proficiency, NEC knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Electrical BIM/design experience in a construction or consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency with BIM tools: Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, ACC, and Office.
• Knowledge of NEC and ability to read electrical drawings, specs, and contract docs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality 2D and 3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Create construction documents, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with project teams and trade partners to identify and resolve clashes.
• Produce detailed installation and coordination drawings for field operations.
• Conduct field surveys and document site conditions when necessary.
• Create prefab drawings, fabrication details, and BOMs.
• Support electrical power and lighting layouts, circuiting, and design efforts.
• Respond to requests and revisions during project life cycles.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality 2D and 3D electrical models using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Create construction documents, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with project teams, design professionals, and trade partners to identify and resolve clashes.
• Produce detailed installation and coordination drawings for field operations.
• Conduct field surveys and document existing site conditions when necessary.
• Create prefab drawings, fabrication details, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Support electrical power and lighting layouts, circuiting, switching, and design efforts.
• Respond to construction administration requests and drawing revisions throughout project life cycles.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Design Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2+ years of electrical BIM/design experience in a construction or consulting environment.
• Strong proficiency with:
• Revit
• Navisworks
• Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• AutoCAD
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Solid understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Experience

• Evolve software experience.
• Data center, commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction experience.
• Experience supporting prefabrication and constructability initiatives.

Base Salary:

$100,000 - $110,000+ (depending on experience)
