National Mechanical Contractor in Bellingham, WA is seeking a Sr. BAS Installer to support BAS installations across commercial, education, healthcare, and data center projects.

This field-based role focuses on installing low-voltage controls and HVAC automation equipment. Candidates with a Washington State 06 Low Voltage License and hands-on controls installation experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience installing BAS, HVAC controls, low-voltage systems, or electrical equipment.
• Current WA State 06 Low Voltage Electrical License (Required).
• Strong understanding of electrical safety, NEC compliance, and proper installation practices.
• Reliable communicator with excellent organizational and field coordination skills.
• Willingness to travel 15–20% to Northern Oregon or Northern California.

Responsibilities

• Install, route, and terminate low-voltage wiring and BAS field devices according to plans, specifications, and WA electrical code.
• Run conduit, bend pipe, and pull wire for HVAC controls and automation equipment.
• Perform functional testing of sensors, actuators, controllers, and networked BAS components.
• Assist with field sketches, as-built documentation, and revision updates.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment staging, and installation schedules.
• Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and general contractors on field activities.
• Provide leadership and guidance to junior installers on larger projects.

About the Opportunity:

A leading national mechanical and controls contractor is hiring a skilled Sr. BAS Installer to support Building Automation System (BAS) installations throughout the Bellingham, WA region. This field-based role focuses on installing low-voltage controls, HVAC automation equipment, and energy-management systems across commercial, education, healthcare, and data center projects. Candidates with a Washington State 06 Low Voltage License and hands-on controls installation experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

• Location: Bellingham, WA (Whatcom County & Northern WA Territory)


• Status: Full-Time | Field-Based


• Hourly Pay: $40.00 – $50.00/hr (DOE)


• Bonus: 2.5% Annual Incentive


• Vehicle: Company Vehicle, Gas Card, or Mileage Reimbursement
