Position Overview

The Sr. Backend Engineer will spearhead development of our core API, a sophisticated backend service that power both our website and mobile app.

This position provides the opportunity to work on modern and scalable backend systems, utilizing advanced cloud technologies and and AI/ML services. You'll join a team that prioritizes code quality, through testing and upholding the highest standards in software development.

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have

• 6+ years of backend development focused on Python
• APIs - development and security practices
• CI/CD workflows
• MongoDB
• GCP
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git)
  
  

Bonus points if you have experience with any of the following:

• Real-time communication systems
• Knowledge of machine learning and NLP concepts
• Experience with streaming services or audio processing
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance our RESTful API service, optimizing for performance
• Write clear, well-tested and scalable code
• Participate in technical discussions and code reviews
• Develop automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
• Lead the scale of backend infrastructure
• Work closely with front end and mobile teams
