Our Fortune 500 client in the United States of America is seeking an experienced, motivated talent to join their innovative team for a remote opportunity.

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Clinical Experience Product and Engineering Team. The engineer will focus on developing backend APIs for front-end applications, ensuring seamless integration with EHR systems like Athena, Cerner, Epic, Allscripts, and Meditech. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to expanding our cloud-native enterprise solutions within the healthcare industry, working collaboratively with Architects, Product Managers, and Engineers to improve healthcare information flow.

Responsibilities

1. Develop high-quality code using Java and SpringBoot following architectural patterns.
2. Create secure, scalable RESTful services and APIs, participate in system architecture and development.
3. Define requirements and implement test cases using Test Driven Development (TDD).
4. Ensure code meets specifications based on requirements.
5. Participate in scrum ceremonies and Program Increment (PI) Planning.
6. Maintain at least 80% code coverage for non-POJO implementations.
7. Deliver features on time with high-quality solutions.
8. Document solutions with diagrams and architectural designs.
9. Perform code reviews.

Preferences

• Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservices, cloud-native applications, relational and NoSQL databases.
• Designing and consuming RESTful APIs, message broker technologies, container management tools.
• 5-7 years of experience in an Agile environment.
• Excellent communication skills, openness to learning, basic OAuth 2.0 understanding, GCP experience, BDD experience, and familiarity with PCF, JIRA, Confluence.

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication, ownership, proactive work ethic, curiosity, problem-solving skills.

Additional Role: Full Stack Developer

Contribute to cloud-native applications in healthcare, working with a team in an Agile setting. Responsibilities include designing and developing web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and React, translating requirements, testing, reviewing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Required experience includes React, Java & Spring Boot, microservices, micro frontends, MongoDB, Agile practices, and optionally GCP.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred.
