Clover, part of Fiserv, is seeking a Sr Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-quality software that powers the Clover platform. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable backend solutions for payments and business management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of Deep Java development.
• 3+ years with Spring Boot.
• 4+ years with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• 3+ years with SQL databases.
• 3+ years with CI/CD and DevOps.
• 3+ years with Agile methodologies.
• 5+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.
• 1+ years of working with AI Platforms.
• Nice to have: Experience in the Payments domain or eCommerce Solutions.
• Nice to have: Experience with AI Platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Maintain and improve existing codebases and lead peer review processes.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to troubleshoot critical backend incidents, resolve API and microservice degradation, and ensure high availability of server-side infrastructure.

What You Will Do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of software applications to support Clover's business goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

Salary Range

$110,000.00 - $186,000.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.

For incentive eligible associates, the successful candidate is eligible for an annual incentive opportunity which may be delivered as a mix of cash bonus and equity awards in the Company's sole discretion.
