Job Description

If you have AWS Cloud and AI experience, this is a great opportunity. We are looking for a Sr. IT Systems Engineer to partner with Architecture to build out operational support of AI.

The Sr. IT Systems Engineer is responsible for constructing detailed designs based on architectural guidance. This position requires deep subject matter expertise and activities supporting secured IT infrastructure. The role also involves managing work direction, leading, and influencing other engineers to achieve results.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AI Architecture to support AI operations.
• Design, build, and support applications in AWS using services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and Containers.
• Utilize core AWS services including VPC, CloudWatch, compute, networking, and storage.
• Collaborate with IT and product teams to understand and develop project scope and solutions.
• Write and support Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Identify and develop automation opportunities.
• Develop and promote standards and their adoption.
• Manage work direction, lead, influence, mentor, and provide feedback within the team.
• Oversee execution of strategic initiatives.
• Create logical designs based on architectural reviews.
• Serve as a key collaborator between engineers and management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience; High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proven effective communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Experience with domain-relevant technologies.
• 5+ years of experience with infrastructure technologies and Cloud AI Services.
• Legal eligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Physical Demands

• Travel up to 10%.
• Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and shifts outside core hours.
• Constant sitting, talking, hearing; frequent reaching; occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Visual requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and focus adjustments.

Salary range: $94,000 - $160,000 based on experience and skills.
