Job summary

Air Methods is seeking a Senior Technician to perform the core duties of the 145 Repair Station, act as a SME in their discipline, and mentor shop personnel in a four-ten schedule. The role emphasizes coordination with maintenance support, planning, and engineering to support field needs and project progress.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED with 5+ years in related roles, AMC 145/135 knowledge, and preferably an FAA A&P.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or GED with 5+ years of related experience or training.
  • Knowledge of AMC 145 and 135 maintenance requirements.
  • FAA A&P certificate preferred.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform core duties of technician requirements at an exceptional level.
  • Coordinate with Maintenance Support and Planning for field needs.
  • Provide communications to Engineering for shop needs.
  • Mentor new employees on shop procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Monitor and order material usage for the shop.
  • Report progress and constraints to leads/supervisors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Overview

Hourly Pay Range: $36.08 - $50.00/hour Up to $5,000 Sign-On Bonus + Relocation Assistance

4/10 Work Schedule (Four 10-Hour Days)

Job Summary: In addition to performing the functions and responsibilities of the specific 145 Repair Station Technician job description at an exceptional level, the Senior Technician will act as a subject matter expert for their maintenance discipline, accepting additional responsibilities as listed below and provide training and mentoring to shop personnel.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform all core duties of applicable technician requirements at an exceptional level
  • Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
  • Provide communications to Engineering Department for specialized shop needs
  • Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to provide support for field maintenance needs
  • Report Maintenance Leads and Supervisors on project constraints and progress updates
  • Mentor new employees in understanding shop procedures to increase their efficiency and productivity
  • Responsible for monitoring, controlling and ordering of material usage in the designated shop.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and five (5) or more years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AMC part 145 and 135 maintenance requirements and procedures
Skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Efficient in the use of electronic or paper based manuals and able to navigate through vendor data to find necessary information
  • Ability to apply comprehensive knowledge of concepts and practices of their specific disciplines skills and their application.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team environment.
  • Ability to manage several projects concurrently and to work on problems of diverse scope and implement solutions.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the AMC Safety Management System.
Computer Skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Thorough knowledge and ability to utilize of multiple RAMCO functions
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • FAA A&P or meet requirements to obtain a FAA repairman certificated preferred

This position is subject to drug and/or alcohol testing per the DOT/FAA requirements (pre-employment, random, reasonable cause/suspicion, post-accident).

Minimum pay

USD $36.08/Hr.

Maximum Pay

USD $45.10/Hr.
