Join FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies as a Senior Automation Engineer 1, DSM MES (Syncade). Support the Drug Substance Manufacturing (DSM) facility by implementing changes to automation systems, updating design documents, executing testing, troubleshooting, and providing on-call support. Lead projects and coordinate with internal and external teams.

Job Description

What You’ll Do

• Lead the Automation team in activities like code configuration and scope work
• Develop specification documents (URS, FS, DQ, etc.)
• Support global alignment of capabilities and maintain our platform concept
• Develop test protocols and functional testing documents (IQ, OQ, etc.)
• Plan and direct technical activities within your responsibility
• Lead small teams through automation changes and tech transfers
• Make complex decisions regarding automation systems
• Contribute to hardware and software design of automation systems
• Provide on-call troubleshooting support
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Maintenance, Validation, and other departments
• Conduct training and present information to teams and stakeholders
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field with 8+ years of automation experience OR
• Master’s degree with 6+ years of experience
• Experience with MES, including understanding behavior code, ET configuration, EM configuration, DeltaV DCS, SC consumer execution group configuration

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience modeling BPR and eBR recipes in Manufacturing Executing Systems
• Proficiency in DeltaV MES technologies like SQL Stored Procedures and xPath Matching
• Experience in pharma/GMP environments

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

Environment may require respiratory, hearing protection, or operation of machinery. Ability to stand, sit, perform repetitive motions, and lift objects up to 33 lbs. required.
