Job Summary


Under the direction of the Director of Audiology, the Senior Audiologist is responsible for providing a full array of clinical audiology services, and for representing the audiology division in a professional and competent fashion. The Senior Audiologist assists the Audiology Director in the development and implementation of new programs, policies and procedures. The Senior Audiologist supervises and will be the lead professional for a minimum of one clinical service. The Senior Audiologist demonstrates leadership and professional skills and functions as a mentor for student externs and other clinical audiologists.

This applies to both adult and pediatric Audiologist functions in the clinical settings at all UCSF Health sites (Mt. Zion, Mission Bay, Parnassus, joint UCSF health partnerships, Satellite Clinics, or with UCSF Faculty at other off-site clinic sites, et al).

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide, however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% - 120% of the established mid-point. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.

For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement, there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

Required Qualifications


  • AuD or PhD in Audiology
  • Five or more years of post-licensure experience in the field of Audiology or a minimum of three years of post-licensure experience in the field of Audiology at UCSF
  • Demonstrated leadership and professional skills
  • For UCSF incumbents only, an equivalent combination of education (i.e., Master's degree) and experience prior to implementation of AuD


Preferred Qualifications


  • Previous experience mentoring student externs and other clinical audiologists
  • Current Dispensing Audiologist License


License/Certification


  • Current Audiologist License
  • Current California Dispensing Audiologist License.
