Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
• 5–8 years of experience in public accounting or investment management.

• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fund accounting activities across alternative investment vehicles.
• Prepare daily trading, position, and P&L analyses and management reporting.
• Support monthly NAV close with external fund administrators.
• Assist with investment valuation procedures and quarterly valuation reporting.
• Prepare and review regulatory filings and investor reporting.
• Coordinate year-end audits and tax-related requests.
• Provide accounting support for private investments and negotiated transactions.
• Participate in portfolio monitoring and due diligence.

A leading alternative investment manager is seeking an experienced accountant to join its Fund Finance team. Reporting directly to senior finance leadership, this individual will partner closely with Operations, Portfolio Finance, Investor Relations, and investment professionals while gaining exposure to a broad range of alternative investment strategies and financial products.

This is a highly visible position offering significant interaction with external administrators, auditors, valuation specialists, and portfolio company finance teams. The role is ideal for an intellectually curious professional looking to expand their exposure within a collaborative and fast-paced investment management environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day fund accounting activities across alternative investment vehicles.
• Prepare daily trading, position, and profit & loss analyses, as well as management reporting.
• Support the monthly NAV close process in partnership with external fund administrators.
• Assist with investment valuation procedures and quarterly valuation reporting.
• Prepare and review regulatory filings, investor reporting, and ad hoc analyses.
• Coordinate year-end audits and tax-related requests while reviewing administrator-prepared financial statements.
• Provide accounting and transaction support related to private investments and negotiated transactions.
• Participate in portfolio monitoring and investment diligence activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and emerging technologies to enhance reporting, controls, and operational efficiency.

Desired Background

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Approximately 5-8 years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or investment management.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience within fund accounting, fund finance, hedge funds, alternative investments, or asset management environments.
• Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills.
