Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join the Global Tax team in Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing the quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provision and collaborating with accounting and tax colleagues across the globe.

• Prepare cash tax forecast and update global tax rates.
• Assist with IFRS to GAAP adjustments and GLOBE-related tax reporting analyses.
• Communicate with global local tax and finance teams to resolve questions.

The Tax Reporting Senior Tax Analyst role is a key contributor to the tax provision function with the Alcon Global Tax team. The senior will be responsible for the preparation/review of quarterly and annual consolidated income tax provision. The senior will work closely with Financial Reporting & Accounting and other Alcon Tax team members.

This role helps ensure Alcon meets its income tax reporting obligations and accurately records consolidated income tax provisions.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Assist with the quarterly and annual global tax consolidation provision process, including ETR, YTD, UTT, and related reporting deliverables
• Prepare cash tax forecast and update global tax rates
• Assist with IFRS to GAAP adjustments and GLOBE-related tax reporting analysis
• Communicate with global local tax and finance teams to resolve or summarize questions raised by local teams

Other Responsibilities

• Assist to maintain tax technology tools
• Assist with U.S. federal and state income tax return preparation, including supporting workpapers, data requests, and related compliance documentation
• Assist with U.S. transfer pricing calculations, documentation support, and related data analysis
• Build collaborative relationships with various business partners within the company

Qualifications

• Income tax provision experience
• Strong tax technical skills and able to research sophisticated tax matters
• Experience with OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax preferred
• CPA and/or MS in Tax preferred
• 3+ years of relevant tax experience with progressive responsibilities; Big 4 experience preferred
• Proficiency in Excel
• Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fluid atmosphere, handle multiple projects and set priorities
• Versatility, flexibility, and willingness to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm
• Self-starter and performance oriented
• Ability to carry out job responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
