Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Sr. Associate in Accounting & Reporting to support the U.S. Finance Team in Fort Worth, TX. The role emphasizes accurate financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, and tax entry reviews, with opportunities to support month-end close and cross-functional partnerships.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, English fluency, and at least 2 years of relevant experience. Onsite work and no sponsorship required. CPA is preferred.

• Perform specialized tasks and conduct independent research to optimize outcomes, contributing to project goals with your advanced skills.
• Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Review of monthly federal tax journal entries and financial statement schedules.
• Assist in preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reviews.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
• 2 Years of Relevant Experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• CPA certification (active or in progress) and public accounting experience preferred.
• Experience in corporate, manufacturing, or multi-entity accounting environments.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, and account reconciliations.
• Experience with accruals, prepaids, inventory accounting, cost accounting, tax accounting, or legal entity accounting.
• Proven ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance, Tax, Legal, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and R&D stakeholders.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
