About the Role
As a Senior Associate in Regulatory Change Management, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and evolving Coinbase’s enterprise-wide regulatory obligations inventory and change monitoring programs. You’ll collaborate closely with legal, compliance, and risk stakeholders to ensure we stay ahead of global regulatory developments and implement them effectively across the organization. This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape how one of the world’s leading crypto companies navigates a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand the Legal & Regulatory Obligations (LRO) Inventory
- Assist in horizon scanning, regulatory impact analysis, and tracking implementation of control/process changes
- Develop and refine quarterly regulatory reporting, metrics, and dashboards
- Provide support for regulatory change management workflows, ensuring alignment across teams
- Conduct QA of regulatory content and vendor feeds (Regology, Archer, etc.)
- Draft and manage internal policies, procedures, SOPs, and operational playbooks
- Assist with incident tracking, stakeholder coordination, and document management
- Support risk and control mapping for assessments, RCSAs, and policy compliance
What We Look For
- Proven experience building and executing regulatory change or compliance programs, preferably in a financial services or fintech environment
- Understanding of U.S. and international regulatory frameworks relevant to digital assets
- Experience working with a legal or compliance team on regulatory obligations inventories
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets) and Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication and documentation skills
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent legal/regulatory education
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first work environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with crypto, blockchain, or digital assets
- Background in law firms, financial services, or as in-house counsel
- Familiarity with regulatory tech tools (e.g., Regology, Archer)
- Exposure to vendor or project management processes
- Working knowledge of BRDs or tech enablement for compliance workflows
