Job summary

Lotte Global Logistics North America (LGLNA) seeks a Site Manager to oversee our ESS battery storage yard. This contract-to-hire role after 90 days focuses on safe handling, storage, and transportation of specialized cargo (OOG), bridging HQ and field operations while ensuring drivers and contractors follow SOPs.

The ideal candidate will manage yard operations, coordinate with trucks and vendors, and enforce safety rules with strong reporting to HQ.

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency preferred (Spanish/English or Korean/English).
• Solid understanding of logistics operations and transportation.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with drivers and site personnel.
• Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using mobile reporting apps.

Responsibilities

• Yard management of the Phoenix ESS storage yard and other origin yards.
• Oversee Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo handling and transport procedures.
• Apply lashing and securing methods for ESS units during transit.
• Coordinate with drivers and vendors; communicate site rules and monitor compliance.
• Enforce HQ SOPs and safety protocols across operations.
• Utilize mobile app to document cargo and operations with photos/videos.
• Provide daily operation reports to HQ for real-time yard visibility.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Site Manager to oversee our ESS (Energy Storage System) battery storage yard. The role is contract to hire after 90 days based on performance. This role is critical in ensuring the safe handling, storage, and transportation of specialized cargo (OOG). The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between Headquarters (HQ) and field operations, ensuring all drivers and contractors strictly adhere to established SOPs and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Yard Management: Oversee daily operations at the Phoenix ESS storage yard and other designated origin yards.
• OOG & Transportation Oversight: Manage the movement of Out-of-Gauge (OOG) cargo, ensuring proper handling and transportation procedures are followed.
• Lashing & Securing: Apply technical knowledge of lashing and securing methods to ensure high-value ESS units are stabilized for transit.
• Driver & Vendor Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for truck drivers; provide clear guidance on site rules and monitor compliance.
• SOP & Rule Enforcement: Strictly implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provided by HQ.
• Digital Documentation: Utilize the company’s mobile application to capture and upload required photos and videos of cargo and operations for quality control.
• Reporting: Provide daily operational reports to HQ to ensure real-time visibility of yard status.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Proficiency : Preferred fluent in Spanish & English OR Korean & English.
• Logistics Experience: Solid understanding of OOG operations and general transportation logistics.
• Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively with drivers and site personnel in a fast-paced environment.
• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Tech-savvy enough to operate mobile apps for reporting and documentation.
• Travel: Ability to travel up to 30% of the time to support other origin yards as needed.
• Soft Skills: Strong commitment to teamwork and the ability to lead by following established rules and procedures.
