Job summary

Total Wine & More is seeking a Sr. Associate, Market Management for on-site work in Bethesda, MD. You will manage replenishment buying for national beer, wine, and spirits, partnering with wholesalers to ensure high in-stock levels and favorable costs.

You will analyze cost structures, promotions, and performance to guide decisions, while resolving vendor issues and coordinating across teams. The role reports to the Director of Market Management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, supply chain, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years in Buying, Merchandising, or Supply Chain; retail/beverage preferred.
• Excellent communication and cross-department collaboration abilities.
• Solid accounting knowledge and pricing reconciliation interest; Excel proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as strategic contact for multiple wholesalers across markets.
• Oversee collection, validation, and maintenance of wholesalers' cost data.
• Lead creation and execution of replenishment orders and PO strategy.
• Analyze cost structures, deals, and product performance for decisions.
• Own vendor service issue resolution and partner coordination.
• Respond to supplier inquiries regarding availability, cost, and performance.

About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a Sr. Associate, Market Management who will be part of our Market Management Team on-site in Bethesda, MD. You will be involved with the replenishment buying of national brand beer, wine, and spirits for our stores throughout the Total Wine & More chain. You will maintain a professional partnership with wholesalers, with the purpose of: driving high in stock levels, purchasing at best cost, providing assortment insights, and maintaining high service level. You will report to the Director of Market Management.

You will

• Serve as a strategic point of contact for multiple wine & spirit wholesalers across assigned markets


• Oversee the collection, validation, and ongoing maintenance of wholesalers' cost data


• Lead the creation and execution of Replenishment Orders and PO strategy


• Analyze cost structures, promotional deals, and product performance to inform decisions


• Take ownership of vendor service issue resolution and partner coordination


• Respond to complex supplier inquiries regarding availability, cost, and product performance

You will come with

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred or equivalent years of experience


• 1-4 years' experience in Buying, Merchandising, or Supply Chain; retail or beverage industry experience preferred


• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across departments


• Solid Accounting knowledge and interest in reconciliation and pricing processes


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas)
