Job summary

Amgen seeks a Sr Associate IS Engineer to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain automation solutions that improve workflow and productivity. You will partner with platform leads and automation engineers to deliver quality projects and rapid POC solutions.

You will work with process SMEs to translate requirements into software, ensure reliable integration across platforms, and follow SAFe agile practices while exploring innovative, cost-saving approaches.

Qualifications

• ETL experience and data pipeline development.
• SQL, Python, and R scripting proficiency.
• Experience with data warehousing, BI, and cloud storage technologies including Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Tableau, Power BI and AWS S3.
• Work within Agile methodologies or SAFe environments.
• Software development best practices, including reusable code design and technical documentation.
• Microsoft Excel, including use of Macros, Pivot Tables, and V-Lookups.
• Experience with visualization and analytics tools including Tableau.

Sr Associate IS Engineer Duties

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve automation solution;
• Partner with platform lead and automation engineers to develop automation projects and ensure quality and timely delivery of projects;
• Contribute towards efforts to design, build, and develop rapid Proof-of-Concept (POC) automated solutions and services. Quickly and iteratively prove or disprove the concepts being considered;
• Work with process subject matter experts (SMEs) to understand key process requirements and transform them into software solutions;
• Collaborate with IS and Business partners to understand how software engineering and automation can improve workflow and productivity;
• Review functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements;
• Provide technical write-ups and drawings to promote the proposed solutions;
• Collaborate with the other engineering team members to ensure all services are reliable, maintainable, and well-integrated into existing platforms;
• Adhere to standard methodologies for testing and designing reusable code;
• Adopt agile ways of working practices to align with Scaled Agile framework;
• Be constantly curious and feed your passion and interests in ground-breaking technology;
• Use your given time to look for new, innovative and automated ways to do business differently, better, and more cost effectively;
• Support the Global Anaplan Platform Owner by collaborating with global business and Information Systems (IS) partners to manage Anaplan Datahub requests and ensure effective platform integration and maintenance.

Requirements

1. Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) technologies and data pipeline development;

Salary

The annual salary range for this position in the U.S. is $136,386.00 per year.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
