Overview

KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate, ADL Platform Operations to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities

1. Understand the Lakehouse Platform, including its workspace, architecture, and capabilities; collaborate with departments to understand their platform needs and support workflow improvements.
2. Assist in implementing new technologies, tools, or processes to enhance platform handling and analysis.
3. Provide onboarding and training for platform tools, promote best practices, and lead or support projects for successful completion.
4. Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards; identify efficiency improvements.
5. Maintain proficiency in data platform tools such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Python, Apache Spark, SQL, and ETL.
6. Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in data operations within Azure and Databricks ecosystems.

Qualifications

1. At least three years of recent experience with Azure cloud technologies, especially Azure Databricks, Data Factory, and Data Lake Storage.
2. Bachelor's degree preferred; relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure or Databricks are desirable.
3. Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, ETL, data governance, and incremental data processing.
4. Experience evaluating governance and security features in Databricks, including RBAC and permission configurations.
5. Ability to work with databases, data management solutions, and familiarity with SDLC, DevOps, and IT infrastructure concepts.
6. Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills; ability to mentor and influence others.
7. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship; no visa sponsorship available.
