Job summary

TEKsystems in Plano, TX seeks an Application Security Engineer to support governance, reporting, and program coordination for the AppSec program. The role involves cross-functional enablement across security, engineering, risk, and compliance teams.

You will help maintain operational execution of the AppSec program, develop executive-level metrics, and leverage automation/AI to improve governance and reporting. Hybrid Plano-based role with competitive hourly pay.

Description

Our financial client is in need of an Application Security Engineer to support Application Security governance, reporting, program coordination, and cross-functional enablement activities. The AppSec Engineer will also help support and maintain operational execution across the AppSec program.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience supporting enterprise Application Security or cybersecurity governance programs
• Experience developing security metrics, dashboards, key performance indicators, and executive reporting
• Familiarity with vulnerability management, software supply chain security, and Secure SDLC governance
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and regulatory expectations
• Experience coordinating across security, engineering, technology, risk, and compliance organizations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical and executive stakeholders
• Experience with reporting and workflow platforms such as Power BI, ServiceNow, Jira, or equivalent tools
• Experience leveraging automation and AI capabilities to improve reporting, governance, and operational processes

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $55.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
