Job summary

Watlow is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to act as a technical resource for customers, sales channels and internal teams. You will translate customer needs into practical product and application solutions, lead complex technical activities, and support standard and modified-standard engineered solutions.

This role partners with Sales, Engineering, Operations and Quality to develop quotes, BOMs, drawings, prototypes, tests and production instructions that meet technical and commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience.
• Typically 7+ years in application engineering, technical sales support, or related roles.
• Experience interpreting CAD drawings, BOMs, routings, and technical docs.
• Ability to develop quotations within pricing guidelines.
• Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource to sales agents, customers and distributors.
• Advise on product selection, application, setup and programming.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable technical instructions for production.
• Support post-sale technical questions and orders.
