In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of our complex on-premise and cloud-based software, systems, and/or information solutions.

What You Will Do

1. Independently perform the analysis, design, and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems delivering high-availability and performance to best meet customer needs.
2. Write well-designed, testable, efficient code to support varied and more complex IT solutions.
3. Provide strong technical expertise and collaborate with other IT specialists to rapidly develop and deliver solutions that meet changing business needs.
4. Perform discovery and fact-finding to fully understand complex business problems and opportunities, executing assignments independently.
5. Evaluate options and make buy vs. build recommendations to management when requested.
6. Analyze and recommend solutions to development and production issues, communicating effectively with the project team, vendors, and managers.
7. Research and stay updated on technology trends and IT best practices, focusing on continuous learning and application to the business.
8. Provide guidance and assistance to less experienced team members.

What You Bring

1. Bachelor's degree or higher (where required).
2. 5+ years of experience in a related field.
3. In lieu of degree, 7+ years of experience.
4. Experience with Java, JSON, SQL, API/Webservice.
5. Application development experience within the Healthcare industry is preferred.
6. CareRadius experience is strongly preferred.

Salary Range

At Blue Cross NC, we offer a fair and equitable compensation package reflecting market rates. Our starting salaries are typically near the middle of the listed range. Compensation is influenced by experience, training, skills, licensure, certifications, and organizational needs. Our base salary is part of a comprehensive Total Rewards package including an Annual Incentive Bonus*, 401(k) with employer match, Paid Time Off (PTO), and competitive health benefits and wellness programs.

*Based on annual corporate goal achievement and individual performance.

Salary Range: $100,500.00 - $182,700.00
