Qualifications

Job description

Title:

Sr. Analytical Scientist

Location:

Research Triangle Park, NC

Duration:

12+ months

Rate:

Open/hr.

General Responsibilities:

1. Plan and conduct analytical tests for drug development and transfer the methods to CDMO.
2. Analyze and interpret data and prepare technical reports.
3. Perform IQ/OQ/PQ and maintain lab equipment.
4. Follow safety procedures and good laboratory practice.
5. Work independently with limited guidance from external consultants or CEO (reporting directly to the CEO).
6. Require BS/MS with 10-12+ years of pharma analytical experience in analytical development/validation for solid oral dosage forms (small molecules); Ph.D. with 5-7+ years is also acceptable.
7. Demonstrate excellent method development and validation skills and routine analysis on pharmaceutical materials, including potent compounds.
8. Have experience with various analytical techniques/instrumentation such as particle size analysis, TGA, DSC, HPLC, FTIR, Powder XRD, SEM, Dissolution, UV-Vis.
9. Prefer candidates who have worked within a contract analytical lab serving external clients or within a pharma company outsourcing analytical work to CDMOs.
10. Show ability to self-manage and learn new analytical techniques through hands-on work and review of published data.
11. Capable of multi-tasking and meeting project timelines.
12. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
13. Having an ANDA background is a plus.
