Role Summary: Saks Global Tech Team is seeking a Payroll Lead with functional experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) and US Payroll. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively, developing solutions to ensure the integrity of our Workday HCM/US Payroll platform. This role involves managing daily operations and leading a transformational initiative focused on business process harmonization and technology modernization within HCM and Payroll platforms.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the US Payroll lead, overseeing design, architecture, implementation, deployment, and monitoring of new functionalities aligned with business needs.
  • Lead configuration and deployment of Workday modules (Core HR, Payroll & Compensation).
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of core HR and Payroll functions.
  • Evaluate and optimize HR processes for efficiency and user satisfaction, enforcing best practices.
  • Collaborate with the People Team on Payroll initiatives.
  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within HRIS systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience with Workday HCM/Payroll implementation.
  • Hands-on technical experience in Workday HCM or Payroll modules for at least 3 years.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in system integration, data management, and reporting within HRIS applications.
  • Strong HR process knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday HCM, Payroll certifications preferred.
  • Experience with Commission systems and Time & Attendance systems is a plus.
