Department Overview

This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO), where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald’s works. We provide best‑in‑class foundational technology products and services including Global Networking, Cloud, End User Computing, and IT Service Management. It’s our goal to always provide an engaging, relevant, and simple experience for our customers.

The Senior Technical Product Analyst role is part of the End User Infrastructure and Operations team in Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Portal & Experience. This role will work closely with product managers and analysts to define and deliver portal features and capabilities that elevate the user experience.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned technology leader to shape the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services across the McDonald’s environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in intranet portals, product strategy, and stakeholder engagement to drive innovation and impact to the entire McDonalds environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the assessment, recommendation, and implementation of intranet portal technologies.
  • Define and execute a strategic roadmap for portal and collaboration technologies, introducing new features and integration points with key business areas.
  • Partner with stakeholders across HR, IT, Communications, and other functions to align portal capabilities with enterprise needs.
  • Manage or support a technology product or suite of products with significant business impact.
  • Work as part of a team of technical product analysts influencing across the organization and innovating within a strategically important domain.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and cross‑functional teams, fostering constructive dialogue and resolving issues.
  • Decompose complex problems into actionable solutions using data‑driven judgment.
  • Identify core problems or opportunities within business processes and understand their root causes and impacts.
  • Proactively identify gaps and opportunities in services, workflows, and tooling across markets and teams.
  • Continuously improve product management capabilities and close skill gaps.
  • Conduct research and market analysis to inform product strategy and direction.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, vendors, and key internal customers.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of technical product management experience, or Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience managing and evaluating intranet portal technology
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud‑based CMS platforms and WYSIWYG interfaces
  • Strong understanding of UX principles and user‑centered design
  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical products, drive clarity, and evaluate concepts with internal and external partners
  • Experience communicating with leadership and setting expectations for major multi‑functional initiatives
  • Customer‑centric mindset with a focus on delivering impactful solutions
  • Strong problem‑solving, organizational, and strategic thinking skills
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to use data to support decisions and measure success
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop project cases, and measure success
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills; able to translate theory into practical application
  • Collaborative and conflict‑resolution skills; able to work effectively in cross‑functional teams
  • Experience managing full SDLC projects and working in agile environments
  • At least 3+ years of experience working with Microsoft technologies (e.g., SharePoint, Teams)

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $112,860 - $143,900 per year.
