The Walt Disney Company in Burbank, CA, is seeking a Sr Analyst, Marketing Data Product to join the Performance Marketing arm. You will help deliver the product roadmap for a suite of tools handling campaign optimization and operations, collaborating with engineers and data scientists.

You will write technical stories, coordinate across groups, and leverage AI prototypes to push data-driven marketing initiatives forward in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering/Analytics, Ad Tech/Media Analytics, or technical Product Management.
  • Experience reading API documentation and interpreting responses.
  • Knowledge of ad platforms (Google Ads, Meta, Innovid, The Trade Desk) and Airtable.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in SQL and working with complex datasets.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Build, refine, and maintain product roadmap for Performance Marketing tools.
  • Write and approve technical user stories for software engineers.
  • Collaborate with engineers to improve processes and tools.
  • Ensure media analytics tools deliver value; verify data quality with SQL/Python/Spark.

Do you remember seeing ads for Deadpool and Wolverine this past summer? What about Moana 2 during Thanksgiving? Or Andor: Season 2 in the past few weeks? (coming to Disney+ in April!) If you did, it was likely because the detailed planning and execution of The Walt Disney Company’s Enterprise Media and Marketing team team… and if you didn’t – it’s probably because our targeting is that good.

We are looking for a Sr Analyst, Marketing Data Product to join the Performance Marketing arm of this media team. We are an integrated, cross-functional team of marketers, software engineers, data scientists, and analysts who help the Media team execute highly data-driven marketing campaigns for theatrical, streaming, and brand campaigns. As a Sr Analyst, you will facilitate the delivery of our product roadmap, focusing on our suite of tools that handle campaign optimization and operations. This role is unique – our team is embedded directly within the Disney marketing organization. We're aligned and mission-driven, with the freedom to move fast and innovate to achieve our goals. You'll tackle the challenges of executing a precise paid media strategy, using the latest technologies and tools in the data/tech space. The role reports to a Manager, Marketing Data Product and is based in Burbank, CA.

You Will / Responsibilities
  • Build, refine, and maintain product roadmap for a suite of Performance Marketing tools focusing on paid media operations and optimization
  • Write and approve technical user stories for software engineers on our internal team; coordinate efforts between different groups to execute roadmap strategy
  • Collaborate with software engineers to execute improvements to existing processes and tools (and innovate by creating new ones)
  • Ensure that existing media analytics tools, platforms, processes, and dashboards continue to deliver value for our campaigns; write SQL queries and run Python and/or Spark scripts to verify data quality and uncover bugs
  • Create Airtable processes that allow us to automate key media workflows
  • Facilitate any work with UX/UI teams on requirements for wireframes and design elements; translate functional requirements to software engineers
  • Leverage AI and LLMs to get out of your comfort zone – you will build your own prototypes and tools in collaboration with the broader team
You Will Have / Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of related work experiencein Data Engineering/Analytics, Ad Tech/Media Analytics, or technical Product Management
  • Working knowledge of how APIs function, including experience reading documentation, sending requests, and interpreting responses
  • Knowledge of ad platforms, including Google Ads, Meta, Innovid, The Trade Desk, and similar
  • Experience with workflow tracking tools such as Airtable
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines
  • A familiarity with SQL and working with complex datasets
  • Proven critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
  • Familiarity with the Python programming language or the Spark framework
  • Experience working with data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
  • Knowledge of digital ad serving, tracking, and implementation
Required Education

Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject areas, such as Computer Science or Business Analytics or equivalent work experience

Preferred Education

Master’s degree in relevant subject area

The hiring range for this position in Burbank, CA is $117,500.00 to $157,500.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
