Job summary

American Airlines in Fort Worth is seeking an analytics professional to lead KPI reporting for the Flight Service organization, translating data into actionable insights across the business. You will drive data quality and partner with stakeholders to deliver timely, strategic analyses.

You will develop automated dashboards, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present clear recommendations to senior leadership while advancing reporting capabilities across multiple data sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years in an analytical role with data-driven decision support.
• Experience with data retrieval and visualization tools (SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Cognos).

Responsibilities

• Accurately reports and analyzes KPIs and metrics for the Flight Service organization.
• Leads analysis to provide actionable recommendations that drive strategic decisions.
• Develops automated reporting from multiple data sources.
• Collaborates with stakeholders across levels to support Flight Service.

What you'll do

• Accurately reports and analyzes Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other key metrics for the Flight Service organization
• Leads the analysis and insights to provide actionable recommendations that drive strategic and tactical decisions
• Develops automated reporting to summarize performance data extracted from multiple data sources
• Collaborates effectively with key stakeholders across multiple levels to support the Flight Service organization
• Ability to clearly communicate complex analysis and recommendation to senior leadership
• Develops all levels of custom reporting, for use by various groups within Flight Service as well as the leadership team
• Defines best practice approaches for database optimization, automation of reporting, and business intelligence tools
• Participates in business intelligence activities to ensure necessary data is captured
• Validates data and ensures reliability of the data source in the process
• Works with the business and IT teams to develop new business requirements to enhance, optimize, and upgrade the reporting system with new and improved user interface tools, etc.
• Performs other duties as required
• Some amount of travel may be required

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Business, Finance, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience/training
• 3+ years previous work experience in similar analytical role(s)
• Strong analytical capability, including application of quantitative reasoning to resolve complex problems
• Experience using data retrieval and visualization methods such as SQL, Alteryx, Tableau, Cognos

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Master’s Degree in Business, Statistics or Advanced Analytics
• Programming experience with R, SAS or Python

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Resourceful, creative thinker; proactive in suggesting reporting improvements and ideas
• Strong project management skills, including experience managing projects across departments
• Excellent teamwork skills with proven ability to work effectively in a variety of situations
