Job summary

Sun Country Airlines is seeking a Senior Analyst, Crew Pairing to join our Minneapolis onsite team. You will analyze flight schedules, network plans, and staffing constraints to identify improvement opportunities and support reliable, cost-efficient operations.

You will build and maintain models, forecasts, dashboards, and KPI reports; develop crew-pairing scenarios; and collaborate with Planning, Operations, Revenue Management, Finance, and Technology to implement changes and report results to

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, engineering, mathematics, economics, finance, business analytics, operations research, data science, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2–5 years of relevant analytical, airline, operations, finance, planning, or optimization experience.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, data validation, and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and meet applicable employment requirements.

Sr. Analyst Crew Pairing Overview:

The Senior Analyst, Crew Pairing supports Sun Country Airlines' planning and operational performance by analyzing network plans, operating constraints, resource utilization, and financial outcomes. The role also evaluates the Amazon network and recommends changes that improve operational reliability and efficiency. This role develops data-driven insights, scenarios, forecasts, dashboards, and recommendations that support effective operational decision-making.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Operations Research, Data Science, Supply Chain, or a related quantitative field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • 2-5 years of relevant analytical, airline, operations, finance, planning, or optimization experience.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, data validation, and communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and collaboratively, and meet applicable employment requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Private Pilot License, Commercial Pilot License, or equivalent aviation training.
  • Experience with S3RUS.
  • Experience with AIMS crew management, pairing, rostering, tracking, or optimization tools.
  • Previous airline experience in Network Planning, Schedule Planning, Operations Performance, Crew Planning, Revenue Management, Finance, Flight Operations, or related functions.
  • Experience with SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable analytical and visualization tools.
  • Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, simulation, optimization, operations research, project management, or change management.
  • Knowledge of airline economics, aircraft routing, fleet utilization, crew legality, operational constraints, and airline performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with applicable FAA regulations and Safety Management System principles.
Compensation:

Pay: $80-95,000. This is the base compensation hiring for this role.
