Job summary

Conch Technologies, Inc. seeks a Sr AI Software Engineer for a 6‑month remote contract. You will design and build production-grade Java/Spring Boot backends, microservices, and REST APIs, using AI-assisted tools to accelerate development.

You will review AI-generated code for performance and security, integrate with workflow platforms (Temporal, Camunda, Flowable, JBPM), and deploy on AWS with OpenShift/Kubernetes. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend/enterprise software engineering experience.
• Strong Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and integration patterns.
• Production experience with Claude, Copilot, or similar AI tools.
• SQL databases with PostgreSQL or Oracle, data modeling and tuning.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift and AWS.
• Exposure to workflow orchestrators (Temporal, Camunda, Flowable, JBPM).
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, ownership and communication skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's in CS/IT/Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot production issues and improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Help establish and improve AI-native engineering practices, standards, and governance.
