As a Data Science Solution Architect at ArangoDB, you are both a pre-sales technical consultant and a product evangelist. Through product presentations, Proof of Concepts, and community engagement, you demonstrate to clients the technical problem-solving abilities of our Data Science suite as well as core capabilities and discuss use cases directly with data scientists, developers, ML ops teams, and managers on different levels.

Location: NY

Only candidates in NY or nearby states will be considered for the position. While this is a work-from-home role, some travel to client locations will be required.

You Will:

1. Craft and deliver outstanding technical presentations and architecturally sound demonstrations of ArangoDB and its Data Science suite for clients.
2. Drive Proof of Concepts/Technology (PoCs/PoTs) with prospects and customers, often in comparison to other (NoSQL) database technologies and other Machine Learning/AI enterprise solutions.
3. Utilize existing skillset and acquired ArangoDB knowledge to build functional demos for various use cases that incorporate the core database as well as GenAI capabilities.
4. Evangelize ArangoDB’s Data Science suite to prospects and potentially in 3rd party presentations and panel discussions designed to generate awareness.
5. Solve technical problems of our (potential) clients with the best solution.
6. Work closely with the Sales team in the US and Europe, participating in client meetings.
7. Coordinate with Product Management and Marketing by providing detailed feedback regarding customer environment, demands, and trends.
8. Work with Marketing for contributions and feedback on technical whitepapers, conduct seminars, assist with trade shows and other marketing-related events in this area.
9. Communicate with and contribute to the worldwide ArangoDB community.
10. Other duties as assigned from time to time.

Your Skills:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant experience.
2. 5+ years of experience in a technical sales or consulting capacity with enterprises, focusing on complex solution sales of mission-critical data systems (databases, data warehouses, big data systems, analytics, and machine learning).
3. Deep technical understanding of data and ML tooling, workflows, and trends in an enterprise setting.
4. In-depth knowledge of (NoSQL) databases and distributed systems.
5. Experience building and integrating LLMs.
6. Strong Architecture skills - ie, mapping a business to technical requirements and understanding multiple components to build a solution.
7. Proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL with experience developing ETL applications.
8. Working knowledge of Neural Networks, ML tasks like Node Classification, Node Similarity, Link Prediction, and related concepts.
9. Knowledge of key infrastructure stacks (AWS, Linux, Scala, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark, etc.).
10. Administration experience with various operating systems (Linux, Windows), cloud, and data storage.
11. High-energy, upbeat, tenacious team player with outstanding interpersonal skills.
12. Others would describe you as a Self-starter and a perpetual learner.
13. Capable of educating and training small groups.
14. Strong understanding of the sales process.
15. Fluent in English, both verbal and written.

1. Previous experience with Graph databases or frameworks.
2. Industry vertical experience in one or more of: Financial Services, Retail, Government, Security or Pharmaceutical, Supply Chain, Manufacturing.
