Role Overview

As a Data Science Solution Architect at ArangoDB, you will act as a pre-sales technical consultant and product evangelist. Your responsibilities include conducting product presentations, Proof of Concepts, community engagement, and discussing use cases with data scientists, developers, ML ops teams, and managers.

Location

NY. Candidates in NY or nearby states will be considered. This role is remote with some travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

1. Deliver technical presentations and demos of ArangoDB and its Data Science suite.
2. Drive Proof of Concepts/Prototypes with prospects, comparing with other NoSQL and AI solutions.
3. Build functional demos incorporating core database and GenAI capabilities.
4. Evangelize ArangoDB’s Data Science suite through prospect engagement and community events.
5. Resolve technical challenges for clients with optimal solutions.
6. Collaborate with US and European sales teams in client meetings.
7. Provide feedback to Product Management and Marketing based on customer needs and trends.
8. Contribute to technical whitepapers, seminars, trade shows, and marketing events.
9. Engage with the global ArangoDB community.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or related experience.
• 5+ years in technical sales or consulting with enterprise data systems.
• Deep understanding of data and ML workflows in enterprise settings.
• Expertise in NoSQL databases and distributed systems.
• Experience with building and integrating LLMs.
• Strong architecture skills for mapping business needs to technical solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, and ETL development.
• Knowledge of Neural Networks and ML tasks like Node Classification, Link Prediction.
• Familiarity with AWS, Linux, Scala, Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Spark.
• Experience with OS administration, cloud, and data storage.
• Energetic, team-oriented, and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter and continuous learner.
• Ability to educate and train groups.
• Understanding of the sales process.
• Fluent in English, verbal and written.

Preferred Extras

• Experience with Graph databases/frameworks.
• Industry experience in Finance, Retail, Government, Security, Pharma, Supply Chain, or Manufacturing.
