Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Developer
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced AEM Developer with 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-scale digital platforms.
The role focuses on AEM Sites, reusable component development, content management, Java-based backend development, and Adobe Experience Cloud integrations.
- Design, develop, and maintain AEM applications and websites.
- Build reusable AEM components, templates, dialogs, workflows, and content models.
- Develop and customize AEM Core Components using HTL/Sightly, Sling Models, and OSGi services.
- Create and maintain Content Fragments and Experience Fragments.
- Develop custom Sling Servlets, Workflow Processes, Event Handlers, and Scheduler Jobs.
- Configure and manage AEM Author, Publish, Dispatcher, and CDN environments.
- Implement integrations with third-party systems, REST APIs, DAM platforms, analytics tools, and Adobe Experience Cloud products.
- Support content migration, MSM, localization, and translation workflows.
- Optimize AEM applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and SEO.
- Collaborate with content authors and business stakeholders on content authoring experiences.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and CI/CD deployment processes.
- Maintain technical documentation, coding standards, and development best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience architecting and implementing Adobe solutions.
- Strong Java, Java EE, Servlets, HTL/Sightly, and Spring experience.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Sling, JCR, and Apache Felix/OSGi.
- Strong understanding of AEM foundational concepts, templates, components, dialogs, widgets, and AEM development/deployment.
- Experience with AEM WCM, Multi-Site Manager (MSM), Blueprinting, and content lifecycle.
- Experience with content publishing/deployment and delivery processes.
- Understanding of integration and content-centric application development patterns.
- Strong SDLC experience with Agile/Scrum.
- Experience with Adobe Campaign, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and Adobe migration projects.
- AEM On-Prem to AEMaaCS migration experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), or Adobe Analytics.
- Dispatcher, caching, and CDN experience.
- Headless CMS experience.
- AWS, Azure, or Adobe Cloud experience.
- Adobe certifications.
- Experience using AI coding tools for AEM development.
- Experience validating AI-generated Java/HTL code through testing and SonarQube.
- Experience using AI tools to scaffold AEM components and Content Fragment Models.
- Awareness of IP and security considerations when using external AI tools.
