Position Summary

Under the supervision of a Clinical Manager, provides clinical consultation and backup administrative assistance for the program’s clinical staff. Also, provides individual therapy and case management and/or group education and therapy for a reduced caseload of patients with alcohol and other drug dependency problems.

Education

Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Mental Health or related discipline.

Knowledge
  • Comprehensive knowledge of individual, group and/or family therapeutic techniques sufficient to provide clinical consultation to therapists/counselors in a substance abuse treatment setting.
  • Knowledge of general policies and procedures governing substance abuse treatment programs.
Skills
  • Must have high level of analytical ability necessary to gather, interpret and communicate data related to patient evaluations and ongoing treatment.
  • Must have oral communication skills that allow effective clinical consultation to therapists/counselors.
  • Must have interpersonal skills necessary to provide counseling and treatment to patients and to coordinate patient’s status.
Licensure and Experience Requirements
  • Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSWC), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Licensed Clinical Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT), Certified Professional Counselor- Marriage and Family Therapist (CPC-MFT), Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LCADC), or Licensed Psychologist.
  • Three to five years in substance abuse or related mental health treatment; experience in a clinical setting.

Salary Range: Minimum $32.40/hour - Maximum $53.48/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
