Sr. AD Medical Analytics and Insights - Mental Health (Remote)

Compensation Data

This position offers a base salary typically between $170,000.00 and $269,000.00. It may be eligible for a role-specific variable or performance-based bonus and other compensation elements.

Description

The Sr. AD Medical Analytics and Insights applies advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to extract insights from complex data sets, supporting strategic decision-making and innovation within Medical Affairs. The role combines analytics expertise with healthcare domain knowledge to harness data for impacting medical strategies, improving patient care, and supporting evidence-based decisions.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Identify and gather relevant data sources such as claims data, KEE/KOL profiling data, internal MSL insights, EHRs, and digital engagement data.
  2. Develop and implement machine learning models (predictive models, NLP) to extract insights, predict outcomes, and optimize decision-making processes. Sanitize and process disparate datasets to create integrated data repositories. Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends and insights aligned with medical needs. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business problems, hypothesize outcomes, and translate them into data science projects. Communicate findings to senior leadership.
  3. Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in data science, healthcare informatics, and regulations to propose innovative solutions.
  4. Analyze complex structured, unstructured, and sensitive healthcare data in a regulated environment. Design and deploy analytical techniques and algorithms to derive insights.
  5. Have strong knowledge of AI/ML techniques, predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data visualization, and knowledge of healthcare regulatory policies. Understand medical affairs datasets and functions.
  6. Manage complex datasets and derive insights to identify unmet needs and develop action plans from a medical affairs perspective.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s/PhD preferred.
  2. BS/BA in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Data Analytics, or related field with 8+ years of healthcare/pharmaceutical experience or Master’s with 6+ years. Experience in product segmentation, targeting, and response modeling is essential.
  3. Strong statistical background with extensive modeling experience.
  4. Proficiency in SAS, SQL, Python, R, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple projects and teams.
  6. Analytical skills, business orientation, influence.
