Job summary

OneOncology is seeking a Sr. Accounts Receivable Representative to lead a team and ensure timely, accurate processing of health insurance claims. You will mentor AR staff and collaborate with the A/R Manager to optimize the revenue cycle for third‑party accounts.

Responsibilities include researching authorizations, managing pended claims, tracking days outstanding, and preparing appeals documentation while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of seven (7) years Accounts Receivable follow up experience.
• Certified Coding Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with medical billing software.
• Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology and/or Diagnostic Imaging experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads a team of Accounts Receivable representatives and assists in managing their performance.
• Manage day-to-day problem-solving while serving as an expert on medical claim matters.
• Assist the A/R Manager with maintaining revenue cycle for third party A/R.
• Suggest revisions to policies and procedures to ensure compliance and service quality.
• Assist in hiring qualified team members and mentor to motivate productivity.
• Research authorizations, work with providers, and manage pended claims timely.
• Maintain a balance of health insurance claims with <35 average days outstanding.
• Identify non-payment trends or roadblocks and report to Supervisor.
• Prepare special claim projects and maintain logs and deadlines.
• Compose and prepare documentation for appeals.
• Process insurance carrier correspondence promptly and stay updated on carrier sites.
