Constellation Search Group is seeking a Sr. Accounting Manager for a full-time direct hire in San Antonio, TX. This role oversees accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit coordination in a lean manufacturing environment.

The candidate will prepare accurate financial information, maintain internal controls, and support the business with timely, reliable reporting while adapting to changing priorities and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 7+ years of progressive manufacturing accounting experience; 3+ years in public accounting preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Experience leading month-end close and annual audit.
• SAP or ERP experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsabilités

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports; analyze variances.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and accuracy.
• Lead annual external audit process and prepare necessary schedules.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support inventory, fixed assets, accruals, and other activities.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and finance tasks.
• Identify and implement process improvements.

Constellation Search Group is looking for a Sr. Accounting Manager for a full-time direct hire position. The Sr. Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, month-end close, and audit coordination. This hands-on role is responsible for preparing accurate financial information, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the business through timely and reliable financial reporting. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a lean manufacturing environment where priorities can change, processes may be manual, and resourcefulness is essential to meeting deadlines and driving results.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports, analyze financial results, and explain significant variances.
• Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
• Lead the annual external audit process, including preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and audit deliverables.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Support inventory, fixed asset, accrual, and other accounting activities.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and accounting/finance-related tasks.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, including 3+ years in public accounting (audit preferred).
• Strong accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience leading the month-end close and annual audit process.
• CPA preferred.
• SAP or ERP experience preferred.
• Strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience preparing financial statements, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to prioritize work, manage competing deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
