• Ensure general ledger accuracy across multiple entities and sites.

• Maintain strong internal controls across all accounting cycles.
• Prepare audit-ready documentation and liaise with external auditors.
• Support working capital reporting through inventory, accruals, payables, and receivables accounting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen close and documentation.

The Senior Accounting Manager is a hands-on accounting leader responsible for complex accounting areas and accurate financial reporting across a three-site manufacturing network. Reporting to the Corporate Controller, this role plays a critical role in ensuring general ledger integrity, audit readiness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. This position operates within an established accounting and ERP framework. This is a stable, long-term individual contributor role with meaningful technical ownership and cross-functional exposure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities with a focus on accuracy and timeliness
• Own complex accounting areas including inventory, accruals, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and detailed supporting schedules
• Prepare monthly financial statement packages and supporting documentation for Corporate Controller review
• Ensure general ledger accuracy across multiple legal entities and manufacturing locations
• Research, document, and apply U.S. GAAP guidance to technical accounting matters
• Support debt covenant calculations and reporting requirements
• Maintain and execute strong internal control procedures across all accounting cycles
• Prepare audit-ready documentation and serve as a primary contact for external auditors for assigned areas
• Support working capital reporting through accurate inventory, accrual, payables, and receivables accounting
• Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen close, reconciliation, and documentation procedures
• Support financial due diligence and accounting integration activities related to acquisitions, as needed
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting knowledge
• Experience operating in a public, multi-entity and/or private equity-backed environment preferred
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas)
• Experience working within ERP systems; exposure to Deacom and/or SAP Business One preferred
• Demonstrated experience in manufacturing accounting, including inventory and cost accounting
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable operating independently within established systems and processes

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
• 7–12 years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior experience in a senior accountant or accounting manager role
• Manufacturing or inventory-intensive industry experience strongly preferred
• Experience supporting financial statement audits and technical accounting matters
• CPA preferred but not required

Pay Range

$140k-$180k
