Job summary

STACK Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Accountant for their Denver, CO office. You will manage monthly close, prepare GAAP-based financial statements, and support audits in a fast-growing environment.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Accounting, 3+ years of experience, and familiarity with NetSuite and MS Office. CPA is preferred. In-office role with cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, and Treasury.

Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting required.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • CPA and public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP.
  • Multi-entity and international experience preferred.
  • NetSuite experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Complete month-end close and prepare journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly financial package (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) with commentary.
  • Analyze and reconcile transactions in the general ledger.
  • Provide technical accounting research and GAAP interpretation.
  • Assist with consolidation, acquisition entries, and integration where needed.
  • Coordinate with external audit and support documentation.

The world runs on data. Data runs on STACK.Job DescriptionTHE POSITION:At STACK, the Senior Accountant is an essential part of the Finance and Accounting Department. You will be responsible for the monthly production and maintenance of all general ledger accounting, lead and manage the monthly close process, assist with financial statement preparation and analysis, technical accounting, process improvement, external audit coordination, and be the right-hand person to the Accounting Director.To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communications skills, strong attention to detail, be exceptionally organized, self-motivated, and a master problem-solver. You should be able to thrive in a fast-paced multitasking environment and easily adapt to change and rapid company growth. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting and customer service (external and internal).Complete the month end close process and preparation of journal entriesPrepare monthly financial package including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement with budget vs actual commentaryEvaluate and record transactions to the general ledger timely and accuratelyAnalyze and interpret complex accounting transactions in accordance with GAAPPrepare account reconciliations and research discrepancies as neededProvide technical accounting research and implementation supportAssist with purchase price accounting, acquisition entries and integration of companiesWork cross functionally with various departments and teams to understand operating results and create efficiencies in accounting processesEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with clients and internal departments, including Finance, Operations, and Treasury teamsProvide support and prepare documentation for the external auditManage and maintain fixed asset accounting and capitalization policiesAd-hoc reporting, analysis and special projects to move the business forwardTHE DETAILS:Location: Denver, CO – In office (3 days week)Travel: less than 10%Must be eligible to work in the United StatesMust pass comprehensive background screeningMUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:BS in Accounting required3+ years prior work experienceCPA and public accounting experience preferredStrong understanding of US GAAPMulti-entity and international experience preferredNetSuite experience preferredProficient with Microsoft Office product suite, especially ExcelDetail-orientedStrong analytical, problem solving, and communications skillsEnjoys collaborating and works well cross-functionally with other teamsAbility to execute, process, and prioritize tasks with minimal-to-no supervisionProven success in creating efficiencies in processes and proceduresCompensation Range:$94,340.00 - $104,940.00THIS MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU IF:You are a strong communicator, you are persuasive and clear, blending analytics with experience in decision-making.You do not get flustered easily.
