Job summary

Depot Connect International (DCI) seeks a detail-oriented Senior Accountant in a hybrid role based at our Tampa, FL headquarters. You will own the general ledger, oversee month-end close, and ensure accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP. CPA is a strong plus, with opportunities to mentor staff and lead process improvements.

The role emphasizes analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and collaboration with audits and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience, senior/lead preferred.
• CPA a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Lead month-end close, journal entries, fixed assets, and accruals.
• Perform balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Coordinate internal and external audits with documentation.
• Evaluate procedures and drive efficiency, accuracy, and controls.
• Mentor junior staff and support ad-hoc analyses.

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to join our finance & accounting team. In this role, you will take ownership of our general ledger, lead month‑end close processes, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of GAAP, excellent problem‑solving skills, and a proven track record of improving accounting workflows.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Tampa, FL headquarters.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
• Month-End Close: Assist the close process by creating journal entries, tracking fixed assets, and managing accruals.
• Reconciliations: Perform complex balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations to ensure general ledger accuracy.
• Auditing & Compliance: Coordinate internal and external audits by preparing necessary schedules, workflows, and supporting documentation.
• Process Improvement: Evaluate current accounting procedures and recommend ways to improve efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance, review work, and help train junior accounting staff.
• Ad-Hoc Analysis: Assist management with budgeting, variance analysis, and special financial projects as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 3–5 years of professional accounting experience; prior experience in a senior or lead role is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) Google Sheets and experience with ERP systems. A plus if (Great Plains, OneStream, BNA, CoStar, Blackline).
• Certifications: CPA a strong plus.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, high attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
