Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Accountant to join our finance team. This role is pivotal in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Financial Operations

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare and post journal entries; support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Develop and enhance accounting systems and processes using modern technology.

Process Improvement & Risk Management

• Identify and implement opportunities for operational efficiency and process enhancements.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure data integrity and minimize financial risk.
• Support internal controls and risk mitigation strategies.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Participate in meetings with clients, partners, and vendors to assess financial needs and propose tailored solutions.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance

• Stay current with federal and state banking regulations and ensure adherence to all applicable laws.
• Collaborate with auditors and regulatory bodies during reviews and examinations.
• Uphold all internal policies and procedures related to financial operations.
• Foster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and external partners.
• Communicate project updates, challenges, and solutions effectively.
• Embrace feedback and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.

Preferred:

• CPA license or active CPA candidate.
• 3–5 years of professional accounting experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in the financial services or banking industry.
• Familiarity with financial systems and banking operations.
