$80.00/hr - $100.00/hr

Title: Senior Accountant

Location: Remote

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for complex accounting and reporting activities associated with the GAAP accounting close and preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. The Senior Accountant will partner with the Global Controller and the Accounting Manager to drive the implementation of Corporate Accounting policies and procedures, internal controls, and financial information systems. This role provides support to a great Accounting team and reporting activities across the company.

General Job Duties/Responsibilities

• Month-end close process.
• Prepare, record and review Journal entries in accordance with GAAP
• AR, Billing and cash collections process
• AP and vendor relations process (Invoice coding, Vendor Payments and Vendor Maintenance)
• Prepare, cash and other balance sheet reconciliations monthly
• Assist with the explanations of monthly variance analysis reports
• Work with the finance team to implement synergies across business units and across departments
• Document and update finance policies and procedures timely

• Assist with external and internal audits.
• Prepare schedules as requested
• Provide support and interact with auditors as required.

• Identify, and participate in cross functional/departmental projects.
• Identifies opportunities to improve process, controls, and information systems.
  

Education/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Advance degree or CPA preferred, but not required.
• 3+ years of financial accounting experience, inclusive of A/P and A/R processes, cash applications, General Ledger management, revenue and expense recording, P&L variance analysis and explanations, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and decision-making abilities.
• Team player
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Advanced EXCEL skills, inclusive of Pivot Tables, V-Lookup, etc.
