Job summary

Hach is part of Veralto and located in Loveland, CO. This senior accountant role reports to the Accounting Manager and drives month-end close, financial analyses, and reporting to support business decisions.

We seek a candidate with 5+ years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and experience with ERP systems like Oracle. The role is hybrid in Loveland, with training and development opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent accounting experience.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounting systems.
• Experience analyzing financial statements and management reports.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements and accounting reports.
• Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile select key accounts.
• Spot errors and suggest ways to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures as needed.
• Assist with training and developing accounting associates.
• Provide input into department’s goal setting process.
• Assist with and support internal and external audits to ensure compliance.
• Share in responsibility for month-end and year-end close process.
• Prepare select journal entries on more complex accounts.
• Share in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
• Prepare account reconciliations on key or complex accounts.
• Challenge the status quo and look for ways to improve processes.

This is a senior role reporting to the Accounting Manager with key involvement with our general accounting operations, month end close process, financial and management reporting. Senior accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end financial and management reports. A successful senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and systems. This is key to developing and executing processes for timely and accurate production and analysis of financial statements and reports. The ideal candidate also has experience collaborating with and developing clerical staff/junior accountants. Senior accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks and control activities.

This position is part of the Accounting team, in Loveland, CO and will be hybrid.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

It would be nice if you also possess:

• Manufacturing industry experience.

• Experience working with large ERP systems, including Oracle.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $90,000 – $100,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
