Job description

Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading site-level financial operations within a manufacturing environment. This role oversees general ledger management, cost accounting, financial reporting, SOX compliance, and internal controls while providing financial leadership and business partnership to site operations.

This is a highly interactive role that collaborates closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Planning and Site leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong cost control, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Close
  • Heavily participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Maintain integrity of the general ledger
  • Manage Intercompany transactions
  • Manage Leases, Royalties, Commissions, credit card spend
Fixed Assets & CapEx
  • Manage Fixed Asset capitalization, disposals, tagging, physical counts
  • Manage depreciation, amortization
  • Manage capital expenditure process from initial request to capitalization
  • Manage all CIP activities
Taxes
  • Manage Corporate tax requests
  • Prepare and file periodic Sales & Use Tax
  • Prepare and file periodic City Business Tax
  • Prepare and file periodic Property Tax
Controls & Compliance
  • Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and maintain effective internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Ensure adherence to corporate and government accounting policies
Business Partnership
  • Partner with plant leadership to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Serve as a financial liaison between Accounting and operational departments
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or CPA, a plus
  • 5-8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including manufacturing and cost accounting
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal controls
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Pay, Benefits, Work Schedule
Competitive Compensation
  • Pay Range: $100300 to $166900 annually
  • Participation in Annual Incentive Program
