Job summary

Responsibilities

• Participate in month-end closing, prepare reports, post journal entries, and analyze variances.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and adherence to corporate policies.
• Research ERP issues and support system development, conversion, and implementation tasks.
• Prepare workpapers and schedules for forecasts, budgets, and external audits.
• Develop and revise reports to meet management and end-user needs.
• Support standardization of accounting policies and procedures.
• Analyze financial statements to assess performance and productivity.
• Provide backup within the department as needed.

Summary/Objective

TheSeniorAccountanttakestheleadroleinensuring TOMCO’saccountingrecordsandreportsareaccurate, complete, timely, prepared in accordance with GAAP and consistent with corporate policy. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all financial statements, preparation of timely reporting and supporting reconciliations. This position also assists in researching and resolving issues related to cost accounting, development of internal processes and controls, forecasting, capital project analysis and completion of external audits.This position will have heavy exposure to accounting in a manufacturing environment.Job costing, standard costing, percentage of completion and inventory valuation are some examples of topics that will be encountered.

Essential Functions

PositionType/ExpectedHoursofWork

Thisisa full-timeposition. Officehoursare Monday through Friday 8:00a.m. to5p.m. Someflexibility in hoursis allowed,buttheemployeemustbeavailableduringthe“core”workhoursof9:30 a.m.to3:30p.m.andmust work 40 hours each week to maintain full time status.

RequiredEducationandExperience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or comparable equivalent.Three to five years of experience in a manufacturingenvironmentwithCostAccountingandwell-roundedERPsoftwareexperiencepreferred.
