Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Sr. Accountant for our Dallas, TX team. The role will manage journal entries, bank reconciliations, month-end close, and prepare financial reports for project activity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 3+ years of accounting-related experience.
• Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
• Detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
• Review project expenses and ensure costs are capitalized correctly.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and other departments for project accounting.
• Track capital activity including capital calls, distributions, transfers.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle monthly sales and use tax reporting.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for project activity.
• Support annual audits by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors.
• Partner with tax team to provide documentation for tax filings.

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for journal entries, preparing bank reconciliations, month end, and compiling financial reports

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries while keeping the general ledger accurate and up to date
• Review project expenses and make sure costs are properly capitalized
• Work closely with project managers, procurement teams, and other departments to gather information and support project accounting
• Track and record capital activity, including capital calls, distributions, and transfers
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Handle monthly sales and use tax reporting
• Assist with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to project activity
• Help support the annual audit by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors
• Partner with the tax team to provide documentation and support for tax filings
