The Senior Accountant will lead financial reporting, GL management, audits, and cross-department collaboration, with emphasis on sales tax work and ad hoc projects. A accounting degree and strong GAAP knowledge are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements; support budgeting processes.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger; assist month-end close.
• Assist with internal and external audits and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate across teams.
• Coordinate cross-department efforts to align finance with operations.
• Review sales and use tax returns and audits.
• Tackle ad hoc projects as needed.

INDUSTRY LEADER SEEKS A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT TO JOIN OUR TEAM-COLUMBUS, OH

FCX Performance is an Applied Industrial Technologies Company and a leading process flow control company. The role of our Senior Accountant has an immediate impact on our customers, on our company performance, and on personal earnings. This is a full-time (hybrid) permanent position at our Corporate headquarters Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Help in preparing accurate financial statements, analyzing financial data, and providing assistance in the budgeting process.
• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile accounts, perform month-end and year-end close activities, and ensure proper revenue and expense recognition.
• Audit and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits by preparing documentation for auditors and ensuring compliance with GAAP, federal, and state regulations.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior accountants and other financial staff, delegate tasks, and provide guidance on accounting procedures.
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to ensure financial processes align with business objectives and support operational efficiency.
• Sales and Use Tax: Review and assist with returns and audits. Complete required analysis.
• Ad Hoc Projects: To be capable and prepared to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

We seek:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• Proven accounting experience

• Strong understanding of SOX compliance a plus
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Highly proficient with Microsoft software applications, especially with MS Excel
