Job summary

AOC Formulations in Collierville, TN seeks a Senior Accountant to join the Accounting/Finance team. This role supports monthly close, journal entries, reconciliations, budgeting, forecasting, and internal reporting, working with cross-functional teams to drive accuracy and timely financial insight.

Ideal candidate has 3–5 years in corporate accounting or FP&A, CPA preferred, and strong Excel/ERP experience. On-site work five days a week in a collaborative environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA or Master’s is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting (audit), or FP&A.
• CPA certification or CPA candidate preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards; familiarity with lease accounting software and financial consolidation systems is a plus.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting standards and reporting; experience with budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and variance analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly present financial information.
• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, attention to detail, and deadline-driven work ethic.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be willing and able to work on-site in office 5 days/week.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly, quarterly, and annual financials including manual journal entries and reconciliations.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations for proper accounting and approvals.
• Lead accounting/finance aspects of customer rebate program with sales and finance teams.
• Manage Americas lease accounting per IFRS 16; coordinate with procurement and finance teams.
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Assist internal and external audits with schedules and inquiries.
• Perform actual vs. budget, forecast, and variance analyses; identify trends and drivers.
• Provide insights on business performance to stakeholders.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting processes with input coordination.
• Support FP&A activities and ad hoc analyses for decision making.
• Participate in special projects as requested by finance leadership.

AOC is seeking an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, team-driven Senior Accountant to join the Accounting/Finance team. This position will work closely with the Americas Accounting Manager, Corporate Accounting team, plant controllers, and other finance professionals across the region. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the monthly financial close and reporting processes, including preparing and reviewing manual journal entries and account reconciliations, performing financial analysis, and supporting monthly management reporting. The role will also have meaningful involvement in financial planning and analysis activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of actual results compared to plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting, demonstrated analytical capabilities and sound business acumen. The candidate should be comfortable working across both accounting and FP&A activities, able to effectively manage changing priorities and deadlines, and demonstrate strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Play key role in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparing manual journal entries and account reconciliations
• Review assigned journal entries and account reconciliations, evaluating the appropriateness of accounting treatment and ensuring transactions are accurate, properly supported and approved, and recorded in accordance with company policies and established internal controls within a JSOX environment
• Lead the accounting/finance aspects of our customer rebate program; including interacting with Americas sales team on rebate contract setup and maintenance, reviewing sales contracts for revenue recognition matters, coordinating the recording of rebate accruals and payments, and overseeing quarterly reviews of rebate contract balances with sales and finance teams
• Manage the Americas lease accounting process in accordance with IFRS 16, including coordinating with procurement and finance teams to ensure portfolio of leases is accurate and updated; work with other finance team members to ensure accurate recording of needed additions/updates in lease accounting system and related journal entries and account reconciliations
• Support Americas Controller and Accounting Manager in preparation of the financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement) and other management reporting schedules
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules and supporting documentation and by responding to auditor inquiries
• Perform periodic financial analysis, including actual versus budget, forecast, and prior-year variance analysis; Identify and communicate significant business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities
• Partner with accounting, finance, and business teams to understand financial results and provide meaningful insights regarding business performance
• Play an active role in the annual budget and periodic forecasting processes, including coordinating inputs from business partners, preparing financial projections, validating assumptions, consolidating submissions, and analyzing forecast results
• Support FP&A activities and ad hoc financial analysis, including operating expense, capital spending, working capital, cash flow, profitability, and other analyses required to support management decision-making
• Participate in special projects and other accounting and financial analysis activities as requested by finance leadership
• Other duties as assigned
