Johnson Controls is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage general accounting functions, ensure accurate financial records, and support month-end and year-end close processes in a fast-paced environment.
You will work with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to maintain GAAP compliance, prepare reports, and drive improvements in internal controls and financial reporting. A CPA and ERP experience are preferred.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing general accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, preparing financial reports, supporting month-end and year-end close processes, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and company policies. This role works closely with finance leadership and cross-functional teams to support business operations and financial decision-making.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA designation preferred.
5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics).
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Experience with financial statement preparation.
Knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures.
Experience with budgeting and forecasting.
Process improvement and automation experience.
Leadership or supervisory experience.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $86,000-$100,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.) The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role. However, we recognize that exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
