This is a remote role; however, you must be located within 50 miles of Los Angeles, CA to be considered. Please note, that we do not currently offer relocation support of any kind at this time.

About You

Our SEO Senior Account Managers are responsible for staying on top of all of the changes in the SEO space and keeping our clients and agency apprised of the latest and greatest. Senior Account Managers manage client relationships but are also subject matter experts.

You will be tasked with helping to grow our clients’ SEO program—taking what we’ve already built and making it work better and scale even more effectively. As an SEO Senior Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for the following key areas:

  1. Auditing & identifying areas of improvement and expansion opportunities.
  2. Establishing and executing the SEO strategy.
  3. Actively managing client expectations and priorities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Independently create project plans & roadmaps for all clients. Familiar with creating projections and/or impact potential for proposed initiatives.
  • Reporting: develop and maintain reporting for all clients on core SEO KPIs, including traffic, conversions (e.g. sales, leads, phone calls), organic impressions, CTR, and rankings.
  • Technical Auditing: Independently identify, diagnose, and create a plan to address crawl errors, URL treatment & duplication issues, crawler accessibility and readability concerns, and site speed problems on clients’ websites.
  • On-Page & Content Auditing: Diagnose keyword targeting issues as well as creation of new keyword strategy to establish optimization opportunities for meta data, on-page content, and structured data.
  • Development of all core deliverables, including reporting, strategy assessment, auditing, keyword research and mapping, and content optimization projects.
  • Client services and management: Act as a face of DEPT by facilitating and running client calls and meetings.
  • Providing consistent and well-structured follow up on status of SEO recommendations for all owned clients.
  • Manage & analyze ongoing reporting to identify optimization opportunities for each of our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A minimum of 4 years of SEO-specific experience: proven prior work experience presenting findings and making recommendations for account optimizations to internal or external clients a must.
  • At least 2 years of experience running & managing SEO strategy independently, either in-house or agency.
  • In-depth understanding of how search engines work, SEO optimization techniques, principles of sound SEO strategies, and all key and recent industry changes.
  • Familiarity with emerging AI search engines and comfort with leveraging AI tools for automation.
  • High tolerance for change and proven track record of successfully managing accounts with various goals, moving deadlines, and changing priorities.
  • Strong time and project management skills as well as high attention to detail.
  • Expertise around how to research, diagnose, and resolve technical site issues. Must have a clear understanding of how and why technical issues, including crawl errors, redirection, duplication, and site speed, can impact website performance.
  • Experience with keyword research, strategy assessments, and competitive analyses.
  • Strong ability to create high quality and well-written deliverables and presentations that successfully communicate SEO opportunities & recommendations.
  • High experience using SEO-related tools like Screaming Frog, Cloud Crawling tools, BrightEdge, Searchmetrics, Semrush, and AHREFs.
  • Strong experience with Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills and be proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Familiar with HTML, CSS, and Javascript development and constraints.
